WHAT IS LMS?


Last Man Standing is the premier competition for the functional fitness athlete in Africa and is very proud to be in partnership with CrossFit Radium - a CrossFit Inc. affiliated box located in Centurion, Gauteng in South Africa.

In 2014, the first Last Man Standing event was launched. This individual based competition offers all athletes, whether affiliated to a CrossFit Inc. box or not, from various levels of experience, an opportunity to compete in a multi stage, multi skilled, multi day event.

Not only is it held on the grandest scale at one of South Africa's premier sporting venues - SuperSport Park, Centurion, it is a completely new concept offered to the fitness community in this region. Our main aim is to offer all participants the opportunity to immerse themselves in the regions rapidly growing functional fitness community and to experience what it feels like to be treated like a professional athlete.

Last Man Standing Individual offers athletes the opportunity to compete in three unique divisions which are scaled to fit your experience, strength and fitness levels. The event takes place annually in September and consists of both mens & ladies classes in the Beginner, Intermediate & Elite divisions.


Following the success of the inaugural event in 2014, Last Man Standing proudly extended the brand to include a team event in May 2015. The team event takes place annually in May and consists of a Rookie & Elite Division. Each team competing should consists of 2 male & 2 female athletes.

An event for the community by the community, Last Man Standing prides itself in assisting to grow this great sport and offer everyone that attends, athlete or a spectator, a chance to be part of an ever growing ever adapting movement of people.

Important Dates for Online Qualifiers


These are some of the critical dates which you need to pencil into your diaries for the qualifying phase of Last Man Standing Individual 2015.

29 June 2015 WOD's for online qualifiers released.

1st July 2015, Registrations open for online qualifiers via the RxIt platform

10th August 2015, Deadline for submission of WOD 1 scores at 24h00. Scores are submitted via RxIt

12th August 2015, Deadline for submission of WOD 2 Scores at 24h00. Scores are submitted via RxIt

13th August 2015, Qualification for LMS Individual confirmed.

The team at Last Man Standing has given all interested athletes the month of July to register for the qualifiers and submit their scores. The registrations will remain open until the close of WOD 1 submissions on the 5th August 24h00.

Who can Enter?


Last Man Standing is open to professional and amateur functional fitness athletes.

To be eligible to compete, participants must be at least 17 years old on 31 December of the year of the event.

Last Man Standing is an open competition and participants from both affiliate boxes and non affiliate gyms are welcome to enter. The event is also open to athletes from all countries.

It is every athletes responsibility to ensure that they arrive at the start of the event with the necessary fitness level and knowledge of the sport of functional fitness to participate.

Each athlete is required to sign a personal indemnity form before they are able to compete.

Entry Guidelines


The guidelines have been put together to assist athletes in selecting their division of competition for the 2 types of event.

Kindly note that the guidelines is merely a suggestion of the movements an athlete should be able to complete in order to successfully complete the WOD's associated with that division at any event.

Last Man Standing Individual has 4 different Divisions

Intermediate
Masters*
Elite

*Special Note: The masters divisions is reserved for athletes who are 40 by the time of the competition or who are turning 40 on or before the 31st of December 2015, this means they were born in the year 1975 or before.
